The course runs over 24 weeks from September to June and includes a 12 week Practical Learning Period. Practical skills in the forest and classroom theory are spread out in three week blocks over the academic year.

Learn the technical know-how, improve your own fitness, and learn to instruct others in a safe way. Practical work is carried out in a gym environment. This is a one year full time course leading to a Level 6 QQI Award in Health Services Supervisory Management Skills.

This course is modular with continuous assessment over the two years. Students will develop medical knowledge to recognise common illnesses and communication skills to liase with pharmacists and council patients on healthcare issues.

Students will gain experience in dispensing procedures and practices and be able to interpret prescriptions and prepare medicines for dispensing. They will be able to maintain patient records and operate pharmacy computer systems. They will also be able to supply non-prescription medicines in accordance with legislation and guidelines.

Event Management is one of the fastest developing industries in the world, growing enormously in the last two decades. Event Management focuses on the management and production of corporate, leisure, cultural and religious events. This course provides students with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills to take a concept and see it materialise into an event.

Progression links to relevant degree courses are also an option open to successful graduates. In particular, on completion of this course, students may apply for advanced entry into Year Two of the BSc Event Management (Honours) degree course in TU Dublin , subject to interview.

This course provides learners with the opportunity to apply the study of human behaviour to the specific context of the work environment.

The course allows learners to examine management and employee working styles and workgroup dynamics to see how they can function together to improve workplace productivity. Learners will develop the competencies and skills to properly manage and understand the importance of creating a workable relationship between managers and employees to enhance business growth and performance.

Learners will apply psychological principles and research techniques to identify and solve problems in the workplace and will develop skills to address workplace conflict when it arises and to ensure swift and effectively.

This course is designed to allow the learner gain advanced knowledge and skills in the general area of office management and leadership. The course aims to build on the solid foundation provided on completion of the Level 5 Administration Award with the addition of Business Law and Human Resource Management. Students also benefit from Payroll training, which places them in an excellent position to take up more senior administration roles in both the public and private sectors.

This course is a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate and is a progression course for any student who already has a QQI Level 5 Certificate or equivalent and for mature students who may have industry experience.

The course covers a wide range of business subjects and gives students a very strong foundation in management, marketing, sales, finance, law and economics. The course is designed to maximise the advanced-entry options to a range of degree programmes across our partner, higher-education colleges in Dublin. All students who are accepted onto our ESOL level 6 course will study English intensively every week.  Students on this course will also study Communications and Personal Professional Development which are basically additional English language modules where you will learn how to express yourself well in writing and speaking. You will also learn advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
