The purpose of the Nursing Studies - Maternity Care course is to provide students with a clear understanding of the academic requirements, personal qualities and charac­teristics necessary for a successful career in midwifery. The focus of the Nursing Studies - Maternity Care course is to prepare students for progression to Midwifery or Nursing Degree Programmes. Students will gain the skills to work under supervision in a variety of healthcare settings.
