The Events industry is a rapidly growing sector in Ireland and abroad. Demand for professional event managers has increased as organisations seek to engage with their customers and other key stakeholders in more innovative ways.

This course offers students the opportunity to develop the necessary skills and appropriate knowledge to prepare for careers in this specialised sector of the marketing industry. It also concentrates on developing skills in public relations, organisation, planning, IT and time management.

This course also provides a foundation in business, internet and communication, as well as a background in public relations and marketing. It will provide the student with the opportunity to showcase all the knowledge and skills learnt during the course through the planning, preparation and production a real life event.

This is a well established one year full-time Post Leaving Certificate course developed in conjunction with the Society of Chartered Surveyors Ireland (SCSI). The course provides a solid introduction to Auctioneering.

By the end of the year, students will be equipped with key Auctioneering and Estate Agency skills, as well as an understanding of a comprehensive range of modern business functions such as IT, Economics and Law. As part of the course, students are required to gain practical experience by working for two weeks in a property related environment.

Ballsbridge College has been providing a course in English as a Foreign Language for over ten years. During this time the course has expanded to facilitate students with differing levels of English and has become an integral part of the college.

This course aims to prepare learners for employment in the FinTech sector. This foundation course will introduce learners to the area of financial technology so that they will be motivated to pursue job opportunities and further training in the sector. The learner will develop an understanding of the international financial services market and develop competence in key finance concepts, digital and interpersonal skills.

This course provide learners with a comprehensive knowledge and understanding of information and communications technology and practical IT skills required in the performance of a broad range of administrative and organizational tasks.

It suits learners who want to acquire computer skills for the first time. It also suits learners who may have been in the work force before but who now need to update and develop new skills. The course will build confidence and those who complete it will have gained improved communications and interpersonal skills. Participants will develop excellent keyboard, IT and accountancy skills and learn the basics of good business administration.

The one-year course in the Certificate in Business Studies (Level 5) will offer students an opportunity to explore a wide range of business-related subjects, allowing students to develop a comprehensive foundation in the key elements of business.

Upon successful competition of this course, students can progress directly into our Advanced Certificate in Business Studies Level 6.

This course provides learners with the necessary skills and knowledge to pursue a career in the Business and/or Accounting sectors. Students who complete this Level 5 QQI course will have the opportunity to apply for an Apprenticeship with the Accounting Technicians of Ireland where they will work four days a week and attend college one day a week.

A 12-week work placement in a relevant workplace is part of the course. Learners will participate effectively in work experience, will work independently while under general direction, meet deadlines, observe good timekeeping, presentation, communication, adherence to health, safety and other relevant regulations. They will demonstrate personal, interpersonal and technological communication skills.

This course is designed for students from overseas who wish to improve their knowledge of English and acquire Business and IT Skills. Students get the opportunity to participate in the diverse and vibrant learning environment of Rathmines College.

This course provides intensive English language training at intermediate level. Each student benefits from seven hours per week of English tuition.

The blend of business modules with practical IT skills on this course is a great balance between learning about business, accounting and economics and the day to day IT requirements of working in many business sectors. Students will study at least eight subjects in this full time one year course covering all the key areas of working in an array of business environments. Successful past students have secured places in popular 3rd Level Business degree courses including; Commerce in UCD (DN650), Accounting and Finance in DCU (DC115), Accounting & Finance in TU Dublin (TU933).

The QQI Level 5 Certificate in Aviation Finance offers an opportunity for those wishing to develop their skills in the Aviation Leasing Sector. This course will have an emphasis on aircraft and airline finance and leasing. The Certificate in Aviation Finance will give learners the opportunity to learn new skills with an emphasis on the acquisition and financing of aircraft as well as developing an understanding of the sector. Successful graduates have progressed on to Aviation Management with Finance in DCU (DC 117).

This Business and Finance course is an excellent introduction to so many areas of business, accounting and finance. The course covers key areas of business to include economics, tax, accounting and also practical IT skills, with modules in WP and spreadsheets, that further enhance skills needed to work in so many areas of business.
