The Certificate in Plant-Based Cooking and Sustainable Practices is a short course designed to upskill existing culinary staff and potential new entrants in the skills required to serve the growth in demand for newer, plant-based menu options in the hospitality and broader food service sector, and do so in a sustainable way. It provides an upskilling opportunity for existing staff, equally an opportunity for a first qualification directed to people looking to develop a career in hospitality and food sector.

This programme is designed to provide apprentices with knowledge, skills and competencies at an advanced level, to ensure that all aspects of food preparation, production and service are carried out to the highest standard and in accordance with food hygiene regulations, company standards and policies. The programme enables the apprentice to be an effective team leader and production specialist at operational, managerial and technical levels.

The programme also focuses on the responsibility of guiding, directing and training team members. Apprentices will be concentrating on areas such as personal development, food innovation, and the capitalisation of market trends and the management of department finances and budgets; all the while endeavouring to exceed customer expectations. It combines classroom training with hands-on practical skills development within the workplace.

An engineering services manager will be capable of managing the performance of a wide range of mechanical and electrical equipment and associated services in commercial/industrial scale facilities throughout the entire system life cycle. This will involve liaison with designers and consultants, contracting companies, installation/commissioning/maintenance personnel, statutory agencies and end-users.

Key elements include the planning of activities, the identification and management of resources required and performance optimisation given due consideration to technical, commercial and safety/environmental aspects. The Manager will be practised in the supervision of the work of others and in communication with the various stakeholders involved in new project installations and/or in the management of existing facilities.

This programme is designed as an add-on qualification for holders of the Level 6 Advanced Craft Certificate or equivalent.

This Special Purpose Award in Biopharmaceutical Supply Chain Management is designed to broaden and deepen the knowledge and skill base of graduates of a Level 7 degree in Supply Chain Management or in Business and Engineering disciplines who already have experience of Logistics and Supply Chain Management. Supply Chain graduates have shown particular interest in enhancing their knowledge of issues such as the strategic management, transport planning, customs management, and global logistics and supply chain management in the Biopharmaceutical and Pharmaceutical industry sectors.

This one-year programme is an industrially focused Level 8 programme where students gain valuable knowledge and skills in key subject area, which are pertinent to working in highly regulated and automated manufacturing and distribution environments such as GMP, QA, QC, Lean Manufacturing, Operations Management, Lean Supply Chains.

This qualification is a one year step up degree for participants holding the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport (CILT) Diploma, Logistics Associate Apprenticeship; or IIPMM (Procurement and Supply Chain Management), or an equivalent Level 6 or Level 7 qualification in a relevant discipline.

On course completion the candidates will have in-depth knowledge of emerging theories, concepts and methods in the field of Supply Chain Management and will be able to assist organisations in developing and sustaining competitive advantage.

The Datacenter Academy programme covers content at QQI level 5 and level 6 of the National Framework of Qualifications in the area Computer Systems and Networks.

Learners in the datacenter academy have the opportunity to earn an industry-recognized CompTIA Certification as part of the course. The CompTIA awards are CompTIA A+, studied in year one and CompTIA Server+, studied in year two.
