All the infrastructure around us, including roads, bridges, hospitals, universities, airports water, wastewater and energy facilities is the product of civil, structural and environmental engineering. Civil, Structural and Environmental engineering is the application of science to planning, design, and construction for the benefit of society while minimising environmental impact.

Food science focuses on the physical, chemical and biological characteristics of food along the production chain, from its production on a farm to being eaten. The diverse scope of subjects covered provides students with a unique blend of scientific and technical skills designed to meet the needs of careers in the food industry, ranging from research and development to food processing and production.  

The BSc Nutritional Sciences course focuses on the role of diet in health promotion and disease prevention (including problems related to undernutrition and over-nutrition, and especially the major non communicable chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, cancer, diabetes and osteoporosis). The BSc Genetics will teach you to understand how genes work in individuals and populations, and how this genetic information is passed from one generation to the next. BCL (Law and French) allows you to study law and French at the same time in a joint honours degree. You can then become a lawyer with specific linguistic skills. Most of our graduates combine these two sets of skills and become lawyers with a unique linguistic ability. They often go on to work abroad in international or EU firms and institutions.

The BSc Applied Economics is a degree in Economics with a difference.
