This Barbering course offers detailed skills training in all aspects of barbering and men’s hair grooming. You learn highly specialised skills in all aspects of Beauty Treatments, including laser, micro-dermabrasion and intense pulsed light treatments. There is an intensive focus on high level professional practice which will set-up you for a senior level role in the Beauty Treatments industry.

This course will enable students to work with world-renowned professional skincare and body products, such as Yonka, to develop practical expertise in a range of treatments. Students will complete case studies on guest clients for each module, performing treatments such as body massage and figure analysis, microdermabrasion and IPL, and learning correct use of body electrical machines.

As part of this Beauty Aesthetics and Body Treatments course, students actively design, set up and participate in the Institute’s commercial salon, which runs on a weekly basis. This experience empowers the students, building their confidence to make the transition to professional beauty therapist. Additional workshops may be offered in eyelash extensions, lash perming, BIAB nails and threading.

This course provides industry-recognised International Therapy Examination Council (iTEC) qualifications, you will be equipped with the skills and confidence for a successful career in beauty therapy.

This course is designed to provide occupational competence at Level 2 comparable to the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) Level 4 and Level 3 comparable to the National Framework of Qualifications (NFQ) Level 5 in additional areas such as Holistic Massage and Gel Polish Techniques.
