This course is an introductory year to the three-year apprenticeship programme aimed at school leavers and mature applicants who are considering a career in the Hairdressing Industry.

The programme aims to ensure that theoretical learning in a Further Education Centre to prepare you for our 3 year Apprentice program.

This Motor Vehicle Technology course provides students with comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience in the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of modern motor vehicles. Designed for aspiring automotive technicians and enthusiasts alike, this course covers essential systems and components, including engines, transmissions, brakes, suspension, electrical systems, and more. Through a combination of classroom instruction and practical workshop training, learners will gain the technical skills needed to work with both traditional and modern vehicles. Whether you're starting a career in automotive service or looking to upgrade your skills, this course will equip you with the confidence and competence to excel in the motor vehicle sector.

This practical training course is intended for learners who want to work in the construction industry and undergo a SOLAS apprenticeship in areas such as carpentry, electrical, plumbing, block-laying or plastering.

The course introduces students to methods of study, writing, research and IT skills. The course is aimed at students who do not have the entry requirement for courses or the English language requirement for access to these courses.

This course is aimed at preparing students for a career in the security industry. The course has been designed to meet the needs of the security industry in line with the terms of the Private Security Services Act 2004. It is particularly relevant for students who are interested in a career in An Garda Síochána, the Defence Forces, the Prison Service, the Naval Service and the Private Security Industry.

This course equips students with the knowledge, skills, and practical training needed to pursue roles in private security or the uniformed services, including the Garda Síochána, Defence Forces, and Prison Services.

Designed to provide a thorough grounding in both the legal and practical dimensions of security, the programme prepares participants for immediate employment opportunities while also opening pathways to further study and career progression.

This course is aimed at students interested in pursuing a career in Occupational Therapy. Students will gain an understanding of the principles and practices of rehabilitation, treatment of injured, ill, or disabled patients through the therapeutic use of everyday activities.They will develop an understanding of impaired mobility and its impact on human occupational performance and ability and the role of occupational therapy in current healthcare services.

The Pre-Teaching Level 5 course is a foundational program tailored for school leavers and mature students aiming for a career in primary, post-primary, or further education. The curriculum provides a comprehensive overview of the Irish education system while fostering essential professional traits such as critical reflection, interpersonal communication, and instructional skills. A unique feature of this course is the academic flexibility it offers, including the option to study Higher Level Leaving Certificate Irish and QQI Level 5 Mathematics, both of which are critical for meeting the entry requirements for Bachelor of Education degrees. 

This full-time one-year programme is aimed at those who wish to pursue teaching as a career. It will concentrate on skills and knowledge essential to a teacher. It mainly prepares students for entry into Arts Degree programmes for second level teaching. Having completed this course students can apply for a Level 8 degree and then progress to a Professional Masters in Education Primary, subject to achieving the required grade in Irish.
