The BSc in Computer Science is a full-time four-year degree course that encompasses all aspects of computer systems (both software and hardware) and ICT (information and communication technology), including software development, database technology, computer networks, operating systems, algorithms, security, web technology and applications. 

Computer Science (Common Entry) offers exposure to a variety of subjects relating to different areas of computing such as general programming, knowledge of computer architecture, games modelling, and an understanding of the mathematical basis that underpins computing. Our well-equipped and modern laboratories will enable you to acquire practical experience and skills with confidence. You will follow a common first-year programme of study and then select one of the three BSc programmes during the second semester. Computer Science (Infrastructure) is about developing software and infrastructure for applications ranging from those on smart devices to those in global corporations. This course provides the skills required to build data centres and networks, and to develop software securely, individually and in teams.

You’ll gain a working knowledge of the components of a computer and a network, become familiar with the components of an operating system, and learn to administrate large distributed systems.
