The Beauty Therapy and Make-up course provides both practical and theoretical knowledge to learners, in a state of the art salon environment. The Beauty Department trains students to the highest professional standard and supports them to achieve awards which are both internationally recognised and on the national framework of qualifications.

You will complete theoretical and practical studies in areas such as anatomy & physiology, make-up, waxing, manicure & pedicure, facial skincare, eye treatments, body massage and facial electrics. There will be an emphasis on practical work experience in approved beauty salons, where you will have the opportunity to meet potential employers and get hands on experience in the beauty industry. You will be required to purchase a uniform and professional beauty and make-up kit.

The purpose of this award is to enable the learner to acquire the knowledge, skill and competence to work independently in providing beauty therapy treatments in a variety of contexts and or to progress to further / higher education and training.

This is a full time course including practical and theoretical training in aspects of Beauty & Body Therapy. This course leads to internationally recognised qualifications. Students regularly receive awards at National and International Level, opening up a wide range of employment opportunities worldwide.

This course offers participants the opportunity to develop the knowledge, skills and attitudes required to work as beauty, lash and tanning therapists in a variety of settings. Throughout the year, the student will explore the latest trends and techniques of the makeup, lash and beauty industries.

Students will learn the necessary practical and theoretical skills to provide a range of Beauty Specialist treatments including specialised lash and tanning treatments to clients.

This course is designed for students wishing to gain some college experience and study skills and have the goal of studying for a QQI Level 5 award in the future.

You’ll work in a professional Beauty Therapy salon to learn the essential practical skills, and learn to use professional products including Dermologica, Decleor and others. You can expect an intensive focus on professional practice, and work placement is an essential part of the course.

With an internationally recognised ITEC qualifications, successful students can progress to work, or to our Level 6 Professional Diploma in Beauty Therapy.
