This Full-Time Degree is designed to provide a broad based business education offering undergraduates the opportunity to explore and understand key business functions in areas such as Management, Finance, Information Technology, Law, Marketing and Human Resources. 

You will develop the necessary personal and professional competencies required to work across a range of roles central to the modern business world. It will provide you with the opportunity to explore and understand key business functions, with a strong focus on finance and IT elements of Business.

This two-year course provides students with a strong foundation in the key aspects of business, producing a well-rounded graduate who can undertake a variety of business roles in an organisation.

In the first year of this degree you will gain a fundamental understanding of data collection and presentation, as you progress you will learn how to be more critical in your analysis, you will learn how this analysis is applied to decision making and business intelligence and by the final year you will be confidently using modern tools and techniques to understand how good data is used for predictive purposes.

This programme provides a strong focus on ICT and digital skills embedded throughout the programme; focus on transversal and cross-sectoral skills. You will learn new tangible IT skills introduced in the first year building into business intelligence in year three giving learners a solid basis in modern data analysis.

The Higher Certificate in Business equips students with a broad skill-base, ensuring graduates will have a wide range of career options. Bachelor of Business (Honours) Common Entry is designed to provide you with a gateway to a better choice of business specialism.

Common Entry is a very popular choice with students.  You avail of a broad common Years 1 & 2 which will introduce you to various essential business topics along with tasters in more specific business areas. Having gained a better understanding of each subject area, you then choose your preferred pathway to specialise in Years 3 & 4.

The advantage of this course type is that it allows students more time to discover the subjects in which they are most interested.

This broad introduction to many business functions can lead to a diverse range of career opportunities.

Students have the flexibility to switch to the BA (Hons) in Accounting and Finance after Year One or the BA (Hons) in Business (HRM) or BA (Hons) in Business (Marketing) after Year Two.

All students who are accepted onto our ESOL level 6 course will study English intensively every week.  Students on this course will also study Communications and Personal Professional Development which are basically additional English language modules where you will learn how to express yourself well in writing and speaking. You will also learn advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
