This four-year full-time course offers you a broad range of business skills combined with a thorough knowledge of the financial and economic environment in which firms operate. On graduation, you will have developed personal and professional skills which will give you the confidence to start a successful business career, in Ireland or overseas.

Our Bachelor of Business (Hons) in Accounting degree adds up to a successful career in the world of accounting and finance. Few careers can be more fulfilling or exciting than accountancy. Our accounting courses attract the maximum exemptions from the examinations of professional accountancy bodies including ICA, ACCA, CPA and CIMA (subject to annual review). Graduates will also have the opportunity to progress onto the MA in Accounting which offers even further significant exemptions. 

This course is a QQI Level 6 Advanced Certificate and is a progression course for any student who already has a QQI Level 5 Certificate or equivalent and for mature students who may have industry experience.

The course covers a wide range of business subjects and gives students a very strong foundation in management, marketing, sales, finance, law and economics. The course is designed to maximise the advanced-entry options to a range of degree programmes across our partner, higher-education colleges in Dublin. Students on this course will acquire the knowledge, skill and competence in a wide range of business subjects including management, marketing, finance, statistics and economics. Enabling students to work independently or in a supervisory capacity in a variety of business contexts and/or progress to higher education and training.

Bachelor of Business Common Entry is designed to provide you with a gateway to a better choice of business specialism.

Common Entry is a very popular choice with students.  You avail of a broad common Years 1 & 2 which will introduce you to various essential business topics along with tasters in more specific business areas. Having gained a better understanding of each subject area, you then choose your preferred pathway to specialise in Year 3.

The advantage of this course type is that it allows students more time to discover the subjects in which they are most interested.

The Bachelor of Business with degree award options: Accounting or Management or Marketing with Online Technologies is designed to enable students to study business and explore specialisms as they progress through their degree.

This course equips students with the applied skills and knowledge needed to pursue a career in a variety of areas such as commercial activity, entrepreneurship, public service, government and the not-for-profit sector. The course is structured around four key pillars – management, finance/economics, business technology and marketing. 

Many CAO applicants will know exactly what course they want to do, whereas others may be a little unsure what aspect of Business is best for them. To simplify the application process, TU have created one entry route for their Business courses, listed on the CAO as TU902 Business Options.

On the CAO the entry route is listed as TU902, with four options to choose from:

TU9022 (BUS) Business
TU902 (BIT) Business with IT
TU902 (INB) International Business
TU902 (GEN) General Entry

For applicants who already know what area of business they would like to study, they can choose from Business TU902 (BUS), Business with IT TU022 (BIT) or International Business TU902 (INB).

Applicants who are unsure what area of Business is best for them can choose General Entry TU902 (GEN).

The BA (Hons) in Business (Management) is designed to provide a solid foundation for success in a business career. The course provides a strong grounding in fundamental business concepts, ideas, practices and methodologies. It features a rich learning environment that involves students in comprehensive and critical analysis of business organisations, functions, processes and management techniques.

The course meets the increasing demand from employers for employees who are proficient in a variety of business skills. Learners complete work placements in the business area and gain valuable experience in the sector.

This course covers a wide range of subjects for those who wish to study at Third Level or find employment in the Business area.

The BA (Hons) Business Management (Project Management) degree programme incorporates a balanced mix of specialised business management modules, aimed at students who, whilst wishing to study for a general business management degree, choose to focus especially on project management throughout the duration of their studies. The programme deals comprehensively with modern business management concepts whilst exploring the social, organisational, behavioural, and systems issues of project management and the provision of a framework for managing projects.

This practical one-year business accounting course is designed to provide an excellent foundation for learners wishing to progress to Business Degree Programmes at Third Level. This course will allow the learner to build skills in accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, marketing, communications and information technology. This course also provide learners with the knowledge and core business skills to enter employment directly.
