Construction Management is all about managing the construction process and meeting the needs of clients within legal, financial and environmental constraints. Construction Managers require a combination of engineering knowledge, good business and organisation skills and a capacity for leadership in managing the building process. You will develop an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the construction process and the necessary theoretical knowledge to match solutions to construction problems; the management skills to plan, organise and manage construction projects and the ability to contribute to the construction process in a manner that sustains and enhances the natural and the built environments.  

The main aim of the course is to give you the skills to take projects from design to reality. The course will provide you with a broadly based management and technological education so that you are capable of recognising, evaluating and solving constructional and business problems associated with building and civil engineering projects. The course will teach you how to adapt to technological change in a competitive industrial climate.

Erasmus+ Work Placement in Europe
Selected students will have the opportunity to apply for three-week work experience project in a European city where they can experience another culture; learn the basics of another language and enhance professional and personal knowledge and training. This course includes the cost of travel and accommodation of participants.

This full-time one-year programme will introduce students to the world of Construction. The programme examines construction materials and safe methodologies, with emphasis on sustainable energy efficient dwellings and green technologies. Students will also attend training workshop, where they will examine a range of different construction methods, calculate the quantities of material required to construct a domestic dwelling, create AutoCAD drawings and experience first-hand the application of renewable energy technologies.

The new and exciting Contemporary Applied Art Degree course explores contemporary ideas, use of materials and offers students the opportunity to creatively develop and make objects.

The course combines studio projects and practical workshop based sessions, where idea development and making are integrated. Students have a base studio, where individual and group tutorials, crits, and presentations take place. The programme is staffed by practicing professionals, and visiting lecturers who regularly contribute specialist expertise.

The BA Contemporary Dance programme is designed to develop your contemporary dance skills and knowledge of your dance practice, as well as to include other forms of artistic expression.

You will learn a range of Modern and Contemporary Dance Techniques, Choreography, Ballet and movement awareness techniques such as Yoga, Pilates and Feldenkrais. You will have the opportunity to engage with other dance practices such as Aerial Dance, Hip hop, Flamenco, and Irish traditional dance. You will gain the contextual understanding and the critical, analytical and reflective skills which will inform your artistic practice.
