This 3-year degree programme builds the fundamental knowledge and skills of students for a career in the events industry, by mixing event modules such as Event Risk Management, Event Project Management, Event Production & Design, Event Fundraising & Sponsorship and Event Operations Management, with a solid foundation of business focussed modules in areas of marketing, financial management and entrepreneurship.

The course also includes modules which encourage the personal development of students including, Leadership & Team Building, Research & Writing Skills and Volunteerism & Community Events. 

This course provides a comprehensive foundation for a career in the rapidly growing events industry, equipping students with essential skills in event management, public relations, marketing, and business communications. Designed to meet the rising demand for innovative event professionals, the curriculum blends theoretical knowledge with practical training in organization, planning, time management, and digital applications. Students have the unique opportunity to showcase their learning by planning, preparing, and executing a live, real-world event, preparing them to enter the industry directly or progress to further specialized business and marketing studies.

This course will teach students the fundamentals of creating and managing an event, spanning from the beginning of planning to post-event analysis. Students will be involved in planning and organising events including working on client briefs, carrying out risk assessments, designing presentations and producing reports. With their expertise in event management and marketing, they will learn how to elevate brands, connect communities, and shape memorable moments that drive business success. 

Event Management is a growing and exciting industry worldwide. This innovative course is designed to develop the skills to participate in and to coordinate an event from inception to completion. The course has a very practical focus where students gain hands-on experience in event management.

Stillorgan College is unique in offering this multi-disciplined course. Students are taught by staff with industry backgrounds in Events including conferencing, corporate travel, tourism, marketing, media and design.

An emphasis is placed on hands-on event production in this course.

The aim of this award is to provide relevant, professional education for students on all aspects of the planning, marketing and management of events and public relations programmes in this multifaceted industry.

Graduates can expect to find employment in a variety of event, PR and entertainment enterprises including conference and convention centres, charitable non-profit organisations, national and regional tourism organisations, hotels, public relations firms, event management agencies, sports and leisure centres, community development organisations, arts and music festivals, multinational companies and public sector organisations.

The course has a strong business and management emphasis, preparing students for employment in managerial roles.

This course has been designed in response to the wellness movement that has captured the sports, recreation and exercise world. The addition of new modules such as Health Promotion and Understanding Mental Health bring a new focus which captures the importance of maintaining an active and healthy body and mind. Learners also have the opportunity to obtain the Certificate in Exercise and Fitness provided by the National Council for Exercise and Fitness and accredited by the University of Limerick (subject to numbers).

This course qualifies you as a Fitness Professional with a strong portfolio of specialisms which include  Advanced Personal Training and Strength & Conditioning for Athletes and Teams. This four year honours degree in Exercise & Health Fitness Management provides you with a broad introduction to a career in the fitness industry. In the first year, you will study a curriculum to qualify as a Fitness Instructor/Gym Instructor.

This is an additional one year course designed to prepare students for a career in sports coaching, the sports and leisure industry or to provide a pathway to further study.

This is a one-year, intensive full-time programme that aims to develop skills and knowledge necessary to pursue a career in the leisure and fitness industry with a focus on coaching. Learners also have the opportunity to obtain the Certificate in Exercise and Fitness provided by the National Council for Exercise and Fitness and accredited by the University of Limerick (subject to numbers).

This course is designed to provide students with the opportunity to further develop the range of skills completed at level 5 for a career in the fitness and leisure industry as well as providing learners with the expertise to work on a one-to-one basis as an advanced Personal Trainer OR Sports Massage Therapist.

The course covers a range of practical application with skill-based learning and the theory at the core of the outcomes. Learn the technical know-how, improve your own fitness, and learn to instruct others in a safe way. Practical work is carried out in a gym environment. Students will also have the opportunity to gain a swim teacher qualification.

Exercise Sciences (Common Entry) is an exciting new four year degree path for those wishing to pursue a programme of study in the area of exercise science but who also wish to graduate in a specialist field. It is for students interested in Exercise Science as a broad career, but who are unsure about their specific areas of interest or career plan.

Successful completion of the first two years of the common entry programme in Exercise Science is required in order to progress onto one of the specialist Level 8 exit award pathways.

The Farm Manager Apprenticeship is the gold standard for farm management and farm ownership training in Ireland. The Farm Manager Apprenticeship is for anyone who wishes to pursue a managerial career in the agricultural sector or existing personnel employed on farms to progress with their existing educational qualifications.

The Farm Technician Apprenticeship is for those who wish to pursue a career in the agricultural industry as a farm technician or for existing personnel in the industry who would like to gain a qualification.

You’ll acquire a comprehensive understanding of the principal operational and strategic issues involved in the management of retail & services-based enterprises in the context of both national and international business. You’ll become familiar with the business specialties and disciplines affecting both operational and strategic management decisions in such enterprises.

This course offers hands-on learning experiences, and you’ll study relevant topics like sustainability, trend research, product development, garment technology, fashion marketing, leadership, and more, all tailored to meet the demands of today’s competitive fashion environment.

This dynamic one year course aims to introduce the student to the planning, buying and selling aspects of the ready-to-wear fashion industry. Whilst the course has a strong business orientation, it also places a strong emphasis on the creative process of product development; from the inception of the range to manufacturing, through to fashion marketing and promotion. Through these diverse areas, students will develop a keen understanding of the design elements of the fashion industry but will also have a firm grasp of the key aspects of the business environment of fashion buying & merchandising.
