ForestsInYourFuture.ie a new interactive digital learning programme, has officially launched—bringing the dynamic world of forestry to life for students, mature learners, parents, and educators across Ireland.
Funded by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM) and developed by Coillte on behalf of the Forest Industry, this free resource is designed to support career exploration and environmental education for learners aged 16–18, as well as those considering a return to education or a career change.
The programme offers engaging, curriculum-aligned content that highlights the diverse career opportunities in Ireland’s forestry sector— from forest management and biodiversity conservation, to harvesting and timber production.

ForestsInYourFuture.ie is a digital learning experience providing:
- Student-friendly modules tailored for TY, senior cycle and mature learners
- Interactive content exploring forestry’s impact on sustainability, climate change and forest ecosystems
- Career insights into forestry roles and pathways
- Resources for educators and parents to support learning and guidance
The programme will be rolled out by Career Guidance Counsellors to Transition Year students in classrooms nationwide, helping learners explore sustainable careers in a structured and supported way. The programme is accessible to everyone through the CareersPortal.ie link and can be taken either individually or as part of a group.
