Below is a list of undergraduate courses available through the CAO that have language options available as part of the course. The amount of time you spend studying language depends on the award type for the language modules available.

  • Major: A Major Award recognises significant time studying a language and will be a primary subject on a single or joint subject degree.
  • Minor: Minor awards involve extensive study but not the breadth of learning outcomes and fluency required for a major award.
  • Elective: Students may take individual language modules, but course time is limited and modules may not be available every year. No specific minor or major award is available. Some Universities offer Elective Programs through which students may select modules from across the university.
