Graduates are equipped with the skills to perform accounting tasks including:

• Bookkeeping
• Accounts preparation
• Expense and VAT analysis
• Reporting and credit control

As well as specialist tasks in areas such as: 

• Tax
• Audit
• Payroll

Many of our graduates enrol in further study and use the qualification as a stepping stone to eventually become professional accountants.

The main professional accountancy bodies offer Accounting Technicians Ireland graduates significant exemptions from their programmes. These include Chartered Accountants Ireland, ACCA, CIMA, CPA, IIPA and the IFA.
