We are known for our professional and friendly approach to learners and are here to contribute to making the world a safer place through specialised avaiation education, training and development.
We have developed a unique two and five day course, both of which are tailored specifically to the TY students to ensure they develop work related skills such as social, communication and professional practice. Putting the learner at the heart of all we do, we aim to ensure each student leaves us with confidence, competence, and a sound foundation of knowledge to travel with them throughout their chosen career. Our two day Introduction to the Workplace course includes the following modules and is suitable for any learner preparing for any industry.
Our five day Introduction to Aviation course includes all of the above plus the following modules:

College Visit Workshops & Talks (€650)
Enrich your learners experience with an engaging workshop delivered on campus by a SkyPeople Training instructor. We offer a selection of modules to choose from, all of which are guaranteed to inform and inspire learners. The running time for each module is three hours, meaning you can choose two modules to be delivered in one day, or repeat the same workshop to a separate group of learners.
To choose from the following:
1. Introduction to Crew Resource Management
Following a spate of aviation incidents in the 70s which were contributed to by Human Error, in 1981 United Airlines became the first airline to offer what was then Cockpit Resource Management . This groundbreaking initiative, initially aimed at flight deck crews, was later expanded to include cabin crew and evolved into what is now widely known as Crew Resource Management (CRM). CRM looks at human factors which impact flight safety, highlighting human limitations to raise awareness and improve flight safety.
2. Current Challenges in the Aviation Industry
Aviation is a vulnerable industry impacted by everything from geopolitical events to volcanoes. We take a look at some of the biggest challenges the industry has faced as well as highlighting the current obstacles airlines face across the world.
3. Aviation First Aid
According to MedAire every year 59,000 medical incidents happen in flight, 2.1% of them result in the aircraft diverting for medical assistance. We take a look at the most common first aid incidents to happen during flight.
4. Aviation Security
Aviation is a worldwide industry carrying 2.3 billion passengers every year, but not all of them have good intentions. This workshop looks at how airlines, airports, and authorities keep us safe from the risk of a security threat.
5. Aviation Regulations
The first module of the Cabin Crew Attestation looks at a number of fundamental subjects aimed at giving the learner the basic knowledge needed in the role of Cabin Crew.
6. Survival
Accidents and incidents can happen at any time and anywhere along the aircraft’s flight path. From sea to artic survival, explore the skills needed to remain safe should the worst happen using a number of fascinating case studies to enhance learning.
7. Conflict Management
According to a 2019 EASA report, every 3 hours the safety of a flight within the EU is threatened by passengers demonstrating unruly or disruptive behaviour. At least 70% of these incidents involve some form of aggression.
De-escalation training equips the learner with the skills and knowledge to manage challenging behaviours effectively and prevent situations from escalating into more severe incidents. Effective de-escalation requires compassion, empathy, and a willingness to understand more than one point of view.
8. Wet Drill Survival – Swimming Pool Activity - €1195
Available at a swimming pool local to your campus, this training forms part of the Cabin Crew Attestation. Learners will receive a training record which they can take to an airline as certification of completing this element of training. Learners will take part in a number of pool based activities including donning a lifejacket, towing an injured passenger, entering a life raft from the water and how to protect injured crew and passengers in a water survival situation.
Laura McQuaid, Recruitment Operations Manager talks to SkyPeople about the recruitment procedures for cabin crew at Ryanair:
(EASA CCA)
SkyPeople Training (EU) is a Cabin Crew Training Organisation (CCTO) regulated by the Irish Aviation Authority (IAA). With our European head office in Dublin, we’re able to deliver the EASA CCA for airlines and individuals in locations around the world.
On successfully completing the EASA CCA course, you will receive your attestation qualification card, this is known as your ‘Certificate of Professional Competence’. The EASA attestation will allow you to apply for to a European airline before joining their Operator Conversion and Aircraft Type Specific Training courses.
As per the regulations for all European nations, the duration of our course is 95 hours delivered over 11 days, with 1 day of additional pre-course learning accessed and completed via our online LMS system. All courses will have an additional “DAY OFF” in the middle and a full course timetable will be sent after enrollment.
Course Enrollment
To enroll on the course, you must have a high level of English comprehension, this is to enable you to fully take part in our classes and to successfully complete the exams. Your level of English comprehension will be checked via a short video call with a member of the SkyPeople Training team before enrollment.
As EASA require all learners to be able to swim (without the use of a life jacket) to complete life raft survival training in the swimming pool, it is therefore essential you have the ability to swim unaided, before commencement on to the course.
Access to our manuals and exams are online, so the use of a portable electronic device is necessary to take part in our courses.
Course Content
During the course you will study the following modules:
Exams
Learners will sit 7 exams and 4 competency-based assessments. The pass mark for all exams is 90%. Learners may resit each exam once. A learner will be removed from the course after failing the resit exam or their third exam failure in total. The possibility for that learner to join another course will be discussed with the learner on an individual basis. Remember our amazing SkyPeople Training Instructors are there to guide you through the course and assist you wherever necessary.
