For students interested in studying in Poland, points and grades are not necessary. For most programmes, an entry test or interview determines a candidate’s suitability. Medical Poland requires that you have studied at least two out of four of these subjects at Leaving Cert level: Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics.

The Medical Poland Pre-Test Course is a learning and revision support tool designed by Medical Poland Education's experienced Academic Team to help applicants increase their chances of successfully passing entrance exams and interviews for the Polish medical and veterinary schools.
The Medical Poland Pre-Test Course has been introduced to make candidates more comfortable going through admission processes and address slight curricular differences between Polish secondary school curriculum and international equivalents that may occur in some cases. Our preparatory course also amplifies important and useful sciences knowledge required and used in medical sciences & veterinary especially during the first 2 years of studies.

Many universities require applicants to attend an interview. In some cases the interview is to determine general candidate communications skills and suitability for a given programme. In some cases interviews can involve questions on biology, chemistry or physics.

Our Pre-Med and Pre-Vet programmes have been designed to support students who have been accepted to study Medicine and Veterinary Medicine in Poland.
The Medical Poland Pre-Med programme and Pre-Vet Programme are prepared by experienced Academic Tutors to ensure all applicants' levels of knowledge in biology, chemistry and physics is sufficient to succeed in studying these courses.

Do I need to know/learn any Polish to study in Poland?
Knowing Polish is not a requirement as programmes are taught 100% through English.
How will I communicate with patients during clinical classes?
Each student will be assigned to a doctor who speaks good English, and each doctor is only assigned to 5 students. Students will also have basic level of Polish classes. Many patients will also speak English.
The doctor-patient communication is a key, some universities hire English speaking actors role-playing patients so the students have enough practice on this field.
What points or grades do I need in my Leaving Cert/ HPAT/ GAMSAT to study a medical degree?
For students interested in studying in Poland, points and grades are not necessary. Medical Poland requires that you have studied at least two out of four subjects at Leaving Cert level (Biology, Chemistry, Physics Mathematics). It is not required that you sit a HPAT/GAMSAT exam (except 4 year MD programme). For most programmes entry test or interview determines candidate’s suitability.
Will I be guaranteed a dorm room as an international student?
Applying early enough will secure applicant's place in the dormitory. There are usually a number of places dedicated to international students, but the availability depends on the time of application.
How much does it cost to rent an apartment in Poland?
Depending on the city and the apartment standards the prices vary. In Bydgoszcz you may find an offer to rent a bedsit in a good standard for 300 EURO, in Poznan the price for the same place would probably be a bit higher. Medical Poland Admission Office provides their students with real-estate agents support. All the students need to do is to list their requirements.
How much does it cost to live in Poland comfortably?
The cost of living in Poland is considerably lower than in Ireland. In Bydgoszcz 400-450 EUR monthly is sufficient for accommodation in the dorms, food, books, transport etc. - comfortable life. In Poznan: 500-550 EUR monthly.
Is the application process difficult?
With Medical Poland's assistance it will make the process as clear and comfortable as possible. We list all the documents you need to prepare, we are on hand to answer any questions and we will support you with interview preparation and organising a tour of the university if you decide you would like to visit before commencing your studies.
How much does it cost?
The Medical Poland Admissions Office Support fee starts from 290 Euro.

In some cases a paid mandatory pre-course may be required. These programmes cover Biology, Chemistry and Physics and they are designed to make sure all the students start their studies at the same level.
What does Medical Poland do to support me?
Are there any other entry requirements?
Yes, the candidate must submit a personal statement and be willing to go for an interview with the University. In some cases an entry exam may apply.
In the documents it states that I need my Leaving Cert Results with an Apostille, What is this and where do I get one?

Medical Poland runs unique MiniMed Summer Programmes for students annually. Small groups of 6-12 students are mentored and given the opportunity to experience various practical, real-life medical scenarios.

A) Medical University Experience

Shadowing a doctor in a working hospital and watching live procedures coupled with various hands-on learning sessions in a clinical environment. It provides an opportunity to understand the broad scope of the medical profession.

Eligibility:
To participate, students must be aged 16+ on the programme start date. They should be prepared to participate in a practical anatomy class in the dissecting room, which will involve being exposed to a cadaver. Students aged under 18 at the time of application must also have the written consent of their parent or legal guardian.
On successful completion of the programme, students will be provided with an official Certificate of Attendance, summarising the content and the student's involvement. Reference letters can also be issued upon request.
