A racing secretary's role is to act as the central point of contact for owners, Racecourses and suppliers and ensure the day to day running of the office, which includes ensuring the runners for the next day have been declared.  Racing secretary’s will often also control the accounts, payroll and communications dependent on size of the training yard.

Works in the cultivation, management, and study of individual trees, shrubs, vines, and other perennial woody plants. They examine trees to assess their condition before determining appropriate action.

Works on a commercial honey farm looking after hives of bees where honey is made, collected and sold.

Dog wardens are responsible for the collection and impounding of stray dogs. They may also intervene when people or animals are under threat from attack, from dogs.

Works on a trawler at sea, catching and landing all kinds of fish and shellfish.

Responsible for care of the dairy herd and maintenance of all facilities related to dairy production.

Food technologists are employed by a variety of public and private sector organisations including food manufacturing and retail companies, universities, central government organisations and specialist research associations/consultancies.

Tillage, in agriculture, the preparation of soil for planting and the cultivation of soil after planting. Tillage is the manipulation of the soil into a desired condition by mechanical means; tools are employed to achieve some desired effect (such as pulverization, cutting, or movement).

A head person is the supervisor of the stable staff team in a racing yard and responsible for the smooth day to day running of a yard.  The role is responsible for planning and scheduling the daily tasks in the yard ensuring a high standard of work is maintained by the stable staff team and that they are appropriately trained and developed and general care of thoroughbreds.

Supports technical work with farm machinery in a wide variety of areas, including the development and testing of new products for the farming industry, service engineering to install, repair and maintain equipment.

Assists the deck officers in the running a merchant ship.

Supervises and manages the running of a fish farm.
