A stallion handler is responsible for the day to day care of elite stallions. Working at a stud you will be a specialist in handling stallions around the yard and during the breeding process.  There is significant responsibility of looking after these highly valued thoroughbreds and seeing the safe practices of covering broodmares during the breeding season.

Coastguards are civil servants who co-ordinate civil maritime search and rescue operations around the coast.

The stud groom’s role encompasses a variety of positions from handling stallions to foaling-down broodmares or preparing yearlings and is fundamental to the day to day running and operation of any study farm.  A few tasks involved on a near daily basis are mucking out stalls, bringing horses in, educating foals and weanlings, and feeding horses.

Assistant to the driller in a mining or oil company. Part of a drilling crew on offshore oil rigs that usually work up to 85 feet under land surface.

Co-ordinates or supervises the activities of a crew on board ships and boats.

Specialises in identifying faults, repairing, overhauling and maintaining farm tractors and farm machinery.

Tillage, in agriculture, the preparation of soil for planting and the cultivation of soil after planting. Tillage is the manipulation of the soil into a desired condition by mechanical means; tools are employed to achieve some desired effect (such as pulverization, cutting, or movement).

Assists with the maintenance of boats/vessels, rigs tow lines, open and closes gates and ramps, and pulls guard chains across entries.

Supervises and manages the running of a farm.
