Adventure Gently specialize in outdoor immersive experiences. Located in Dromahair in Co Leitrim but also operate in Co Sligo. Adventure Gently offer guided canoe trips on the northwest waterways in Canadain Canoes. (River Bonet and Lough Gill) On our guided canoe tours people have the chance to spot local wildlife, relax and unwind in this natural unspoiled landscape. Local guides share history and folklore myths that have shaped this remarkable region. Along with our guided canoe trips Adventure Gently also offer outdoor yoga and meditation sessions as well as wellness experiences. 

Placement Details

▪️Shadow a guide on trips out on the water. (Trips are generally 2.5hours out on the water)

▪️Assist with prep for a trip, preparing canoes, lifejackets, safety equipment et.

▪️Interact with guests make them feel welcome

▪️ Wildlife spotting and identification

▪️Clean and maintain equipment

▪️ Gardening

▪️Setting up yoga, meditation, pilates sessions and wellness experiences. (Work shadowing)

▪️ Capturing content for social media. (Photos, videos, reels, tik toks etc) Creative tasks

▪️Help design posters/flyers

▪️Safety checks of equipment

▪️ Administration and logistics

▪️Shadow the owner, get an insight into every aspect of running an adventure busines

We will give students an insight into every part of the business but also we will try find out what interests them the most for an example if the student loves art it could be a possibility of them designing a mural for our premiss or if it's management they are interested in we will give an insight into administration tasks.

Everyone who joins us for work experience will get to go out on at least one trip a day on the water.
