NCBI, Ireland’s national sight loss agency, is a not for profit charitable organisation which provides support and services nationwide to people experiencing sight loss.
Placement Details
NCBI's retail shops are located around Ireland, selling great quality second-hand clothes, shoes, household items, books and a large selection of bric-a-brac. The proceeds of the shops go towards NCBI's services.
We provide practical and emotional supports, rehabilitation services and hands on training to help people who are blind or visually impaired to help them live independently and confidently in their own community. We rely heavily on volunteers to support our charity shops. Each hour you volunteer will help to fund these life changing services.
What's Involved
We are looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our team and help with:
1. Working on the shop floor and sorting room
2. Maintaining shop floor standards
3. Serving and interacting with customers
4. Organising and cleaning the furniture/homewares for sale in the shop
5. Creating window displays
