Placement Details

Join us as a museum assistant in the museum bookshop, working at the front desk, greeting visitors, carrying out visitor surveys, working the till and credit card machine and providing visitors with information about the museum and the city. You will also be asked to help with other administrative tasks such as preparing reports, research and helping to market and promote the museum to the public.

Main Duties: Support the bookshop team to process sales and greet visitors Being the point of contact for visitors and providing information about the museum and the city. Answer the telephone and deal with all calls in a professional and helpful manner. Ensure the bookshop area is kept neat and in order. Assisting with events in the bookshop. Carrying out visitor surveys. Answer the telephone in a professional and helpful manner. Formatting documents (Word, PowerPoint & Excel) Support the Marketing team to create content across all platforms, including brochures, advertising, websites, social media etc.
