The Skellig Experience Visitor Centre is located on Valentia Island, Co.Kerry. We are dedicated to the UNESCO World Heritage Site Skellig Michael. We offer a self guided exhibition and Fil Show which allow you to learn all about the Skellig Islands. We have a fully licensed restaurant onsite which offers indoor and outdoor seating. We also have a gift shop onsite. Pre-Covid we employ between 15-20 employees peak season. We have many different positions available including waiters/waitresses, catering assistants, retail assistants and receptionists.

Placement Details

This placement will allow you to experience all aspects of our business. You will be given the opportunity to work in a number of different areas of the Visitor Centre. Tasks may include serving customers, setting tables, cleaning, catering, using tills and pricing and checking stock in our retail area. Training will be provided. A mentor will be assigned to you and will be there to supervise your work and answer any queries you may have.

We also provide part-time positions to students interested in pursuing a career in the industry and we will provide further information on this during time of placement.
