Set upon over 20 acres of mature woodland in Moycullen, Co. Galway, Wildlands is where you come to have fun, reconnect with nature and discover the wild. We are a local family business with years of experience in hospitality and the adventure tourism industry. We opened in August 2020 and our mission is to be Ireland’s leading adventure offering and to inspire our visitors to get back to nature.
We provide activities on site both in door and outdoor for children and adults alike. We have over 16 different activities, a 140 seater restaurant, The Olive Tree Kitchen and 14 high end, individually designed self catering cabins.
We are a multi functional hospitality business with many different opportunities available to work in including our reservations, accommodation, adventure and restaurant.
Placement Details
Placement Description: Join us for an immersive placement opportunity that offers a comprehensive overview of our business operations. Throughout your placement, you will have the chance to engage with various departments and areas within our organization, gaining valuable insights and hands-on experience.
Activities during your placement may include: - Shadowing employees across different departments to understand their roles and responsibilities. - Participating in site tours to familiarize yourself with our facilities and operations. - Assisting with setting up equipment under the guidance of experienced professionals. - Engaging with customers to gain practical customer service experience. - Conducting research tasks, utilizing both online resources and on-site materials.
You will be assigned a dedicated supervisor who will serve as your mentor throughout the placement,providing guidance and support as you navigate through different tasks and challenges.
Additionally, we will offer skills training sessions tailored to enhance your abilities in specific areas relevant to our industry. Upon successful completion of your placement, you will receive a certification acknowledging your participation and the skills acquired.
Furthermore, you will have the opportunity to collaborate and work alongside other students who are also undertaking placements with us, fostering a collaborative and enriching learning environment.
