Galway Hooker Sailing Club

Company/Organisation Profile

Galway Hooker Sailing Club is a vibrant, hands on community where young people can get involved with the sea, learn real skills, and be part of something truly special.

We work together to restore, maintain, and sail the iconic Galway Hooker a traditional wooden boat that’s a powerful symbol of our coastal heritage. But this isn’t just about history; it’s about getting stuck in, learning by doing, and having great experiences on the water.

Whether you’re interested in boat restoration, woodwork or marine skills, or just spending time outdoors with like minded people, there’s a place for you here. Our fleet of Galway Hookers and powerboats means plenty of opportunities to learn and get out on the water.
