About Us
Welcome to Castlestone Holiday Homes, where timeless Irish heritage meets contemporary comfort in the heart of County Kildare.
Set against the rolling countryside of our family’s Haynestown Farm, Castlestone is a labor of love born from deep roots and a passion for place. The original 230-year-old stone barns were once a part of our working farmstead, and have been thoughtfully reimagined into a collection of elegant, self-catering holiday homes. Over two years of careful design, restoration, and rebuilding, we preserved the original stonework, footprint and character of the buildings, honoring their history while creating spaces that feel fresh, luxurious, and welcoming.
To enhance your stay even further, Castlestone offers a dedicated wellness area for guests looking to rest, reset, and recharge. Unwind in our sauna, invigorate your senses in the AvantiPool ice bath, or embrace the full contrast therapy experience with our cold bucket shower. It's the perfect way to relax after a day exploring or simply to slow down and reconnect with yourself.
Our story is one of family, craftsmanship, and connection. Now in our eighth generation on this land, we’ve poured our love for rural living into every detail of Castlestone. From cozy studio cottages to spacious country houses, each home blends rustic charm with modern amenities, including fully equipped kitchens, super-king size King Koil beds, gated parking, and premium comforts you’d expect from a five-star retreat. Whether you’re here for a romantic getaway, a family holiday, a group escape or an extended stay, our spaces are designed to help you relax and unwind.
But Castlestone is more than beautiful walls and thoughtful furnishings. It’s about the experiences that happen here, that first morning coffee as birdsong fills the air, gathering for a long meal around a farm-style kitchen table, or returning from a day of exploring to sink into a plush sofa with a book. We even offer touches of local farm life, such as fresh eggs and wild foraged honey for guests to enjoy.
Our location is just minutes from Naas town, makeing Castlestone a perfect base for exploring Kildare’s cultural and recreational highlights. From the excitement of the racing calendar at Punchestown and Naas Racecourses to beautiful walks, golf courses, and historic sites. Yet once you’re home, the tranquility of the countryside encourages you to slow down, breathe deeply, and savor the simple joys of rural Ireland.
At Castlestone, we believe in creating more than just a place to stay. We aim to create a place where memories are made, stories you’ll carry with you long after you leave. We look forward to welcoming you to our farm, our cottages, and our homeLouise & Johnny (and all of us at Castlestone)
