Company/Organisation Profile

The Hunt Museum preserves and exhibits the original artefacts gathered, over a life time, by John and Gertrude Hunt and known as the Hunt Collection. The Museum also displays its own collections, as well as visiting exhibitions of Local, National and International significance with the overall aim of maximising their cultural and educational potential for the people of Limerick and Ireland.

Placement Details

The Hunt Museum occasionally welcomes Transition Year and FE College work placement students.

How to Apply

In order to be considered for a work placement, we need to receive a CV along with two letters of reference. One of these should be a Transition Year teacher or academic supervisor, and the second should be from an employer if you have ever had a paid or unpaid job. Otherwise your second letter of reference could be from any professional person who knows you well, but who is not related to you. Applications will not be considered until all materials (CV and two letters of reference) have been received.

If you are interested in proceeding with an application for a work placement at The Hunt, please email these materials to [email protected] with “SURNAME – WORK EXPERIENCE” in the subject line. In your email you should explain why you are interested in a work placement at the Hunt Museum.
