The Gibson Hotel is located right beside the 3arena, making it the closest hotel to the venue. We have stunning views of Dublin port and the city from our 3rd floor bar and restaurant and our Stratocaster meeting space.
Part of the Work Experience Programme we would like to welcome you alongside our friendly and welcoming team, to get a taste for the Hospitality environment.
You could gain experience in Food and Beverage, Conference and Events or Accommodation Departments and also have a quick introduction to Front Office, HR and Sales and Marketing Departments.
The Gibson Hotel is part of Dalata Hotel Group, Ireland’s largest hotel group. As Dalata continues to grow and expand in Ireland and the UK it’s more important than ever to have the right team alongside us, in the near future we will be opening the doors of new hotels creating many jobs and investing millions in the Irish and UK economy.

Placement Details
During the work experience placement, depending on the student's Department of choice, the tasks may involve:
- Tour of the Department
- Introduction to the team and assignation of a buddy
- Experience first hand the tasks and activities run in the respective department
- Acquire the knowledge, skills, values and attitudes relevant to Dalata group
- Experience a range of activities that occur in hotels
- Practise hospitality skills in a real setting
- Develop an awareness of the day to day operation of hotels
