Great Southern Killarney is a beautiful 4-star Victorian hotel situated in the heart of Killarney, dating back to 1854. The hotel is owned and managed by the Scally family and is part of the  Hayfield Family Collection. The Scally family have been Hoteliers for 3 generations and are the proprietors of Hayfield Manor in Cork, Great Southern Killarney and Killarney Royal.

There are 240 people employed by Great Southern Killarney working in various departments which include - Guest Services, Reception, Food & Beverage, Kitchen,  Accommodation, Leisure, HR, Accounts, Sales and Marketing.

It is our goal to provide our guests with the highest levels of service, quality and satisfaction. Placement Details

Here at Great Southern Killarney , we welcome placements all year round.

There are a variety of jobs available - from reception, accommodation, guest services, porter, leisure attendant and food & beverage departments. You will have the opportunity to see the day to day operations of a busy  4* hotel.   

We hope that you will  learn some new skills, meet new people , build confidence in your skills and find a passion for hospitality. Each student on placement will have a mentor that will guide them through their placement.

At times, we do take on more than one placement so you may have other students working with you.

We will agree a programme with you, which suits your talents and in which you have the most interest. 

Please note you will need to be 16 years or older to work in the bar area.
