Clayton Hotel Charlemont belongs to Dalata Hotel Group plc - Ireland's largest hotel company.
Opened in 2018 this unique hotel has restored a number of historic 18th century Georgian buildings with 187 guest bedrooms, dedicated meeting space including feature boardrooms and outdoor space with a daily capacity of 100 delegates. The hotel features a large ground floor space with Bar, Restaurant and Red Bean Roastery coffee dock as well as a Fitness Suite.

Overall, we currently employee 115 team members who are based in either the operational function of Food & Beverage, Kitchen, Front Office Reception, Maintenance and Accommodation Service or within the administration support functions such as Sales & Marketing, Human Resources, Finance and Revenue Management.

Placement Details
Reporting to the Food & Beverage Supervisor, the Restaurant Food & Beverage Assistant will provide a friendly and efficient service to the hotel guests during the breakfast and lunch service.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Shift will be between from 9am and 4pm.
- Prepares place settings, folding napkins, cleaning, filling cruets, polish silverware and cutlery.
- Take orders and assist guests with any questions regarding menus or beverage.
- Serve guests food and drink as per established standards.
- Provide service throughout the meal.
- Clean, lay and clear tables.
- Stock up and replenish service points as necessary.
- Carry out routine cleaning of restaurant, ensuring tables and chairs are in good repair and arranged properly.
- Assist in taking reservations and in seating guests.
- To explain the method of service to customers for Breakfast and Room Service.
- To ensure condiments, butters, ketchups etc. are sufficiently stocked.
As part of this placement the leaner will be given a full company induction and hotel show-around and introduced to the team. In addition, you will be assigned with a buddy to act as a mentor and point of contact. You will be given a training plan outlining the key learning activities and skills obtained by the end of the placement along with a certificate signed by the General Manager to confirm successful completion.
