Company/Organisation Profile
Bofey Quinns Bar & Restaurant is on Main Street, Corofin.
We are a family business, run by myself and my husband, chef Niall. We have been in Bofey's 28 years.
We are mainly a place to eat, rather than a heavy drinking pub. We very much cater to the tourism sector. We have Tradition music sessions at least 3/4 nights during the summer.
We have a large beer garden, where we also serve food, so you will walk a lot of steps daily.
This is a job for someone who loves to meet new people, as well as our regulars.
Weekends / Bank-holidays are a very busy time in our trade. We employ up to 10/15 staff in the summer, with retaining around 4 staff in winter.
We look to take on bar staff, waiting staff, kitchen porters, pizza / dessert staff for the summer. Training will always be given so you do not need experience, just the ambition, and drive. We work as a team. This trade is hard work, you spend a lot of time on your feet. The hours are normally unsociable, shift or weekend. But it can be a great job for the right people. This type of work will allow you to travel any where in the world, if you can work in a bar, or restaurant. You will also get to practice your languages in Bofey's, as we have lots of French, Italian, and German customers.
Finally this type of work sets you up for life with good people skills, multitasking, reading body language, using the brain rather than calculators etc.
