Galway Bay Boat Tours is seeking enthusiastic Transition Year students to join our team as Trainee Crew/Tour Guides.

As a Trainee Crew/Tour Guide, you will have the opportunity to learn about the rich history, culture, and natural beauty of Galway Bay while assisting with boat operations and providing exceptional customer service to our guests.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with boat preparation and maintenance tasks.
• Learn and adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
• Assist guests with boarding and disembarking the boat.
• Provide informative and engaging commentary during tours, highlighting points of interest and answering questions.
• Assist with onboard hospitality services, such as serving refreshments and ensuring guest comfort.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the boat and tour facilities.
• Participate in ongoing training and development opportunities.

Requirements:

• Currently enrolled in Transition Year.
• Passionate about the maritime industry, tourism, and customer service.
• Strong communication skills and comfortable speaking in front of groups.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Willingness to learn and adapt in a dynamic environment.
• Basic knowledge of Galway Bay and its attractions is a plus, but not required.
