There has been a hotel on the beach at Garryvoe since the early 1900s and while the world has changed beyond recognition, some things have thankfully remained the same – the golden, sandy, five-mile beach; the view of Ballycotton and its lighthouse, and the smiling faces at the Garryvoe Hotel - a family-owned, independent four-star hotel. 

Placement Details

As part of your TY work placement, you will be assigned to a senior member of staff for the duration of your placement. 

You will receive the opportunity to gain customer facing knowledge and experience from an entry level position and to learn how the hotel operates from a broad perspective. Nothing too crazy.. :) We will also have other students from different schools at the same time, so you won’t be alone in your work placement. 

TY students can be given a choice of departments to experience, ultimately, we want you to enjoy the placement.
