Dublin
Fashion Styling students from Dublin College Sallynoggin will present Love Me Again³, in the LexIcon Library from 14th April to 11th May. Supported by Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown County Council, this exhibition of photographs and garments, will showcase outfits that have been sourced, re-worked and styled from the many treasure troves of charity and vintage shops along the Dún Laoghaire high street.
Each look in this exhibition has been created using garments sourced exclusively from local charity, second-hand and vintage shops, demonstrating the transformative potential of pre-loved clothing.
In today’s fast-paced fashion industry, clothing is often treated as disposable. We are buying more, wearing less, and discarding garments at an alarming rate—placing increasing pressure on the planet’s resources. Love Me Again³ challenges this culture with a simple message, People over Profit, Planet over Profit.
At the heart of the exhibition is the idea of reconnecting with our clothes. Have you ever worn something that felt as though it was made just for you? That sense of connection is key to building a more sustainable relationship with fashion. When we value what we wear, we care for it, keep it longer, and reduce waste.
The exhibition also reflects the growing shift towards a circular economy, where clothing is reused, repaired and kept in circulation for as long as possible. Charity shops play a vital role in this system, offering sustainable alternatives while supporting communities and important causes.
Love Me Again³ invites you to reflect on your own fashion choices. Could you take the 30-wear test, committing to wearing garments again and again? Could you restyle what you already own using the 3–3–3 rule? Or simply choose to buy less and wear more?
The iconic designer Vivienne Westwood urged us all to “Buy less, choose well, make it last.” This exhibition brings that philosophy to life, showing that sustainable fashion is not about sacrifice, but about creativity, care and self-expression.
Rediscover your wardrobe, reimagine your style, and fall in love with your clothes —again.
