Our national ‘Generation Apprenticeship’ campaign team will be attending a number of events outlined below to promote apprenticeships to school leavers and their parents. 

Event: Kilkenny Carlow ETB Apprenticeship Expo
📍 Carlow Institute of Further Education and Training

⏰ 6.30pm–9.00pm

Building on the incredible energy and success of last year’s Apprenticeship Expo, KCETB is thrilled to bring the event back for 2026—this time at the Carlow Institute of Further Education and Training on January 29th, 2026 from 6.30–9.00pm.

In 2025, we welcomed over 1,000 students and parents, and interest has only grown. This year, we anticipate even greater demand as 5th and 6th year students explore apprenticeship pathways and parents join them in shaping career decisions. We are excited to invite Apprenticeship Employers to engage directly with students, share insights, and highlight the apprenticeship opportunities available within their organisations.

Event: Galway Roscommon ETB FET Open Day
📍 Galmont Hotel, Galway City
📅 Tuesday, March 10th 2026
⏰ 9.00am–8.00pm

We have revamped the day to include all of the FET provision within GRETB but we are also keeping a whole section for apprenticeship employers and for our own apprentices and instructors.


Event: School Summit ROI Early Careers & Apprenticeship

The School Summit is a 2 day event held annually in each province. The event caters for TY, fourth, fifth, and sixth year students and their teachers.
The event covers a wide and varied spectrum of topics and allows students and teachers to Engage, Expore and Experience with the many opportunities and resources available to them across our diverse and colourful educational landscape.
